Abstract Animalia was created as part of a live fashion brief for Monki, exploring bold pattern design for contemporary womenswear. Inspired by animal print and expressive abstract mark-making, the project reimagined traditional animal textures in a playful and modern way. I experimented with layered shapes, distorted spots, and fluid patterns to create energetic prints that reflected Monki’s fun and youthful aesthetic. The collection combined bold colour palettes and expressive surface design techniques to develop fashion-focused prints designed for statement clothing pieces and trend-led garments.
